With the publication of this edition „Presidency of the SFRY (1980 – 1991) Documents on Macedonia, Conversations on the disintegration of the SFRY (January-March 1991)", in fact, it ends, the four-volume series "Archive of Josip Broz Tito" (1941 - 1991) - documents on Macedonia. The State Archives published the first book of that series for the period 1943-1953 in 2012, the second book for the period 1954-1969 in 2018, and the third book for the period 1970-1980 was published in 2019.
In the last edition, documents of significance for the Socialist Republic of Macedonia, originating from the fund of the Presidency of SFRY, which as a collective body continued to function even after the death of Josip Broz Tito until the collapse of the federation, have been moved. The editor, Dr. Novica Veljanoski, selected and separated the transcripts from the six most dramatic sessions of the Presidency of SFRY, where discussions were held about the current Yugoslav policy and the position of NR Macedonia.
The collection of documents is extremely useful for researchers of the history of the modern Macedonian state.
