EXHIBITION “YOUNG BOSNIA AND THE SARAJEVO ASSASSINATION”

On 11 December 2014, the exhibition of archival documents entitled “Young Bosnia and the Sarajevo Assassination” was opened at the Museum of Macedonia.

The exhibition was prepared by the Archives of Republika Srpska in Banja Luka to mark the centenary of the First World War.

The presentation of the exhibition in the Republic of Macedonia was organized as a result of the cooperation between the State Archives of the Republic of Macedonia and the Archives of Republika Srpska.

The exhibition was officially opened by H.E. Zdravko Begović, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Republic of Macedonia.

The opening ceremony was addressed by Dr. Zoran Todorovski, Director of the State Archives of the Republic of Macedonia; Mr. Dušan Popović, Director of the Archives of Republika Srpska; Dr. Mirjana Nincovska, Director of the Museum of Macedonia; and Mr. Bojan Stojnić, Assistant Director of the Archives of Republika Srpska and author of the exhibition “Young Bosnia and the Sarajevo Assassination.”".

The opening was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited to the Republic of Macedonia, as well as numerous scholars and cultural professionals.

The exhibition “Young Bosnia and the Sarajevo Assassination” consists of 38 panels presenting 249 exhibits and is organized into five chronological and thematic sections: Young Bosnia; The Organizers and Perpetrators of the Sarajevo Assassination; The Sarajevo Assassination; The July Crisis of 1914; and The Suffering of Serbs in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
