Residents of Skopje witnessed the street fights, which took place on \u201cIlindenska\u201d street, near the main post office, the Officer's House, the National Bank, and the Old Railway Station. Macedonian fighters saved the \u201cMatka\u201d hydropower plant from being blown up and destroyed, as well as numerous facilities that were of vital importance, and unarmed civilians defended the Stone Bridge from destruction with their lives. These events are engraved in the memories of the participants in the fighting through testimonies and books that present the joy of the people of Skopje when welcoming the liberators in the center of the city. Since that historically most significant day for our capital, it has been constantly evolving, and we are obliged to express our respect to the fighters who gave their youth for its liberation. Over 420 heroes died for Skopje, who will never be forgotten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let us congratulate the great holiday of November 13\u2014Skopje's Liberation
