The State Archives, as a repository of the country\u2019s historical heritage and a scientific research institution, participated in marking the 80th anniversary of the First Session of ASNOM. Archival professionals, in collaboration with representatives from the Institute of National History \u2013 Skopje, prepared the exhibition \u201cASNOM \u2013 EXPRESSION OF THE MACEDONIAN PEOPLE'S SOVEREIGN WILL IN EXERCISING ITS RIGHT FOR SELF-IDENTIFICATION\" which was inaugurated today at the National Museum of the Macedonian Struggle. The exhibition\u2019s promotion took place within the framework of the Solemn Academy, commemorating 80 years since the First Session of ASNOM, as an introductory event of the International Scientific Conference \u201cAnti-Fascism Between Memory and Oblivion,\u201d organized by the Institute of National History and the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts (MANU). Among other speakers at the Solemn Academy was the Director of the State Archive, Dr. Natasha Kotlar-Trajkova.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition\u2019s content, which illustrates the establishment of the Macedonian state through archival documentation, was presented to distinguished guests from the Government, Parliament, foreign visitors, and the diplomatic corps. The State Archives holds the \u201cASNOM\u201d collection, which was initiated by Dim\u010de Mire, a participant in the First Session of ASNOM and later the Director of the Archive. This collection served as the foundation for research in preparing the exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The State Archives and the Institute of National History, through their inter-institutional collaboration, contribute to enriching the collective memory of this most significant act in the history of the Macedonian people, ASNOM, which will continue to serve as a unifying moment for our society in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            The exhibition will remain open to the public for the following seven days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
