\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Yesterday, the exhibition Beyond Yesterday (in Macedonian \u041e\u0442\u0430\u0434\u0435 \u0432\u0447\u0435\u0440\u0430) was officially opened at the National Gallery's Multimedia Center Mala Stanica. The event saw presence of numerous representatives of the diplomatic corps, civil associations, archivists, and other guests and was addressed by the Director of the State Archives, Prof. Dr. Natasha Kotlar-Trajkova, and by the Ambassador of Romania, H.E. Monica Adela Axinte, and Dr. Constantin D. Catalin, the author of the exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Until the end of the month, all citizens will be able to visit the exhibition created by Professor Constantin, who recreated the photographs taken by the Manaki brothers more than a century ago. The project is a visual journey that identifies the original locations captured in the Manaki photographs, accompanied by the narratives that unfolded as the author visited those sites. In short, it is an anthropological journey through the Balkan<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            For the purposes of the exhibition, the author used the \u201cManaki Brothers\u201d collection of the State Archives, which constitutes movable cultural heritage of exceptional importance. The event was organized by the Embassy of Romania and the State Archives, and was held as part of the celebration of 30 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            The organizers express their public gratitude to the management and staff of the National Gallery, who made it possible for the exhibition to be mounted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
