A delegation from the Federal Archive Agency (ROSARHIV) of the Russian Federation, led by the Director, Mr. Andrej Nikolaevich Artizov, in the period from 17 to 19 April 2019, paid a return working visit to the State Archives of the Republic of Northern Macedonia, hosted by the director, Mr. Kiril Petrov.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the composition of the delegation from the Russian Federation, besides the director, Mr. Artizov were also Mr. Sergei Mironenko, Director of the State Archives of the Russian Federation (GARF) and Ms. Jana Zlatkis, Archival Specialist of the same archive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Skopje, HE Mr. Serje Baznikin, as well as Mr. Jani Bogoevski from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Northern Macedonia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Director, Mr. Kiril Petrov expressed satisfaction with the current course of realization of the agreed initiatives and projects and informed the guests about the steps taken by him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two institutions, through the established working groups, are working intensively on the preparation and publication of joint publications on the history of Russian emigration in Macedonia and the history of the Macedonian people, the two directors stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To the director, Mr. Andrej Nikolaevich Artizov and the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Skopje, HE Mr. Sergey Baznikin from the Macedonian side were presented information from the research on the presence of Russian military personnel on the territory of Macedonia during the First World War.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both sides proposed new activities to deepen research in the context of the military history of the two world wars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the visit, the delegation had the opportunity to get acquainted with the organizational set-up of the State Archives of the Republic of Northern Macedonia, the manner of work of the departments and divisions and the members of the delegation were presented with practical experiences by the employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
