The delegation of State archives, led by director Dr. Emil Krsteski resided in Belgrade on 10 and 11 of June, where he had official separate meetings with directors of Archives of Yugoslavia and the Archives of Serbia, Dr. Milan Terzic and Dr. Miroslav Perisic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Krsteski and Terzic reached an agreement for more intensive cooperation in taking over the archival materials and historical documents from the Archives of Yugoslavia, which refers to Macedonia and are important for the history of our country. Yet It was discussed for near to the sending of our experts to Belgrade for digitalization of the archives material, which according to the Agreement for the inheritance of the countries of the former Yugoslavia (Annex D) belongs to us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"There are still many original documents to be taken from the Archives of Yugoslavia, which are important to our history and our past from the period of the Balkan wars until the disintegration of the SFRY. With the colleague Terzic, we achieved to have an open and friendly meeting in which we agreed for this process to inform the two governments and that process to start as soon as possible\u201d - stated the director Dr. Emil Krsteski, who is also an official representative of the Macedonian government in the negotiations for the inheritance of archive material.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delegation of State archives achieved its first official meeting at the highest level with the Archives of Serbia. The directors Krsteski and Perisic in the meeting in Belgrade agreed on specific joint projects, and in the open and friendly conversation, it was emphasized that the Archives of the two countries should soon officially sign a cooperation agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"This is the first official meeting with the State Archives of Macedonia where we discussed the beginning of concrete cooperation and in the next period, we will define joint projects of interest to both sides. The Archives of Serbia have archival material from the end of the 17th century to the 90s of the last century, and they are mostly materials from the period of the Principality of Serbia, the Kingdom of Serbia, the First World War, and the period of both Yugoslavia, and it has a lot of documents related to Macedonia \"- declared for MIA the director of the Serbian Archive, Miroslav Perisic..<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
