ICARUS (International Center for Archival Research - ICARUS) on 22 February 2022, organized an online meeting, ICARUS Jour Fixe # 3 for members and archiv\u0435 professionals - external attendees. The State Archives was represented by Svetlana Usprcova, Head of the Sector for Research, International and Domestic Cooperation, and Publishing Archive Material, and Marjan Gijovski, MA, Head of the Department for Research, International and Domestic Cooperation, and Publishing Archive Material.\n\n\tThe main topic of the meeting was the review of the realized activities of ICARUS in the previous period, and the upcoming projects were introduced. At the meeting, experiences were shared for the \u201cTopoteca\u201d project, conceived as an online platform that promotes archive material from private holders and addresses various segments of social life from the past. \"Topoteca\" makes the historic heritage easily accessible and visible to the public. The State Archives is currently preparing to be included in this project, thus entering the rank of European archives that devise advanced forms for preserving the history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The participants also discussed the ICARUS Convention on the subject: \"Private and public archives in the 21st century\", scheduled to take place in May 2022, in Paris, with the support of the French Ministry of Culture and the National Archives of France. \n\tThe open meetings are part of ICARUS transparency policy, and the involvement of as many archive professionals from Europe, including our country in order to exchange ideas and experiences. The State Archives strives to follow all the initiatives of the archives on regional and European level by the participation of the institution employees at meetings organized by international archival institutions.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
