To be never forgotten!\u201d will be opened in a solemn event, prepared on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the deportation of the Jews from Macedonia, by the State Archives of the Republic of North Macedonia in cooperation with the Institute of National History \u2013 Skopje.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the presence of numerous domestic delegations and guests from the State of Israel, the exhibition was opened with appropriate speeches by Mr. Goran Sadikario, director of the Holocaust Memorial Center of the Jews in Macedonia, academician Dragi Gjorgiev, director of the Institute of National History, and Goce Stojanovski, head of the Department of the State Archives in Bitola, and Dr. Aleksandar Manojlovski from the Institute of National History, who is one of the authors of the exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"447\" height=\"167\" src=\"https:\/\/arhiv.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/B.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9174\" srcset=\"https:\/\/arhiv.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/B.jpg 447w, https:\/\/arhiv.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/B-300x112.jpg 300w, https:\/\/arhiv.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/B-16x6.jpg 16w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 447px) 100vw, 447px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In his address to the audience, Goce Stojanovski stressed that the historiographical and methodologically supported interpretation of archival materials means our confrontation with the past and nurturing of cultural memory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"448\" height=\"252\" src=\"https:\/\/arhiv.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/\u0410.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9175\" srcset=\"https:\/\/arhiv.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/\u0410.jpg 448w, https:\/\/arhiv.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/\u0410-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/arhiv.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/\u0410-16x9.jpg 16w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 448px) 100vw, 448px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The exhibition consists of 19 panels displaying over 200 photographs and archival documents belonging to the State Archives \u2013 Central part and its departments in Skopje, Bitola and Shtip, the National Institution Museum of Macedonia, the National Institute of Education and Museum Shtip, the Jewish History Museum in Belgrade, Republic of Serbia, and the Central State Archives in Sofia, Republic of Bulgaria. The authors Dr. Jasmina Damjanovska, Dr. Aleksandar Manojlovski and Dr. Lenina \u017dila, through a conducted research, aim to show the operation of the Jewish religious municipalities in Macedonia until 1941, the beginnings of the penetration and reflection of the anti-Semitic policy of the Kingdom of Bulgaria, the denial of the Jewish population and its deportation to the Treblinka camp on the
