Gjerg Kastrioti ka mbaruar shkoll\u00ebn ushtarake n\u00eb Edrene, e m\u00eb pas ka sh\u00ebrbyer n\u00eb ushtrin\u00eb osmane ku ka kontribuar n\u00eb shum\u00eb fitore. Durr\u00ebsi, Lezha dhe Berati u pushtuan nga Gjergj Kastrioti dhe ai bashk\u00ebpunoi me mbretin e Aragonit, Alfonso V, Venecian\u00ebt dhe Hungarez\u00ebt, nd\u00ebrsa Papa Pali II e nderoi si \"Kalor\u00ebs i Krishterimit\". Ky sundimtar i famsh\u00ebm mesjetar shqiptar vdiq nga nj\u00eb s\u00ebmundje n\u00eb vitin 1468. Gjerg Kastrioti mbetet simbol i liris\u00eb p\u00ebr popullin shqiptar, por edhe p\u00ebr popujt e tjer\u00eb ballkanik\u00eb dhe emri dhe vepra e tij kan\u00eb qen\u00eb frym\u00ebzim n\u00eb art gjat\u00eb gjith\u00eb koh\u00ebs. Sir William Temple vuri n\u00eb dukje se Sk\u00ebnderbeu ishte nj\u00eb nga shtat\u00eb sundimtar\u00ebt m\u00eb t\u00eb m\u00ebdhenj pa kuror\u00eb dhe Antonio Vivaldi shkroi nj\u00eb opera
