On May 20 and 21, 2025, representatives from the State Archive participated in the meeting and workshop of the NATO Archives Committee.
At this spring session of the NATO Archives Committee, held at NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Mr. Dimitar Bogeski, Deputy Director, and Svetlana Usprtsova, Head of the Department for Research, International and Domestic Cooperation, and Archive Publication, participated on behalf of the State Archive. They had the opportunity to take part in discussions on the adoption of new procedures for the declassification of documents originating from NATO missions. Additionally, they were informed about the latest practices involving the use of artificial intelligence in the processes of organizing, processing, classifying, and declassifying documents.
Among other topics, the meetings also included discussions on the role and responsibilities of the NATO Archives Committee.
The State Archives has been participating in these meetings since March 27, 2020, when our country became the thirtieth member of NATO.
