Professional development and expansion of the expert knowhow of employees has an important position in the vision for the development of the State Archives institutional operations. At the invitation of the Center for Vocational Education and Training as the competent public institution for the advancement of vocational education, six employees from the State Archives participated in a three-day training for mentors to conduct practical training with employers from June 4 to 6.
The training covered useful topics, such as effective communication, the role of the mentor in vocational education, monitoring and evaluating the student, etc. For years, the Archive has been involved in practical training for secondary school students (related to a subject in high schools) and specifically conducts archival education for students and university students in order to encourage interest in archival studies. Archivists Nesrin Laci, Vesna Kuzmanovska, Lili Savatić, Nazmije Kurtiš, Voislav Cvetkovski and Ike Krstovska will be certified archival educators after successfully completing the training and preparing a seminar paper, and in the coming period a second group of employees will be included in the training.
The State Archives publicly thanks the Center for Vocational Education and Training for its institutional support.
