Yesterday, the exhibition "80 years since the victory over Fascism - Let no one be Forgotten and Let Nothing be forgotten" was opened at the Diamond Mall shopping center, organized by the State Archives and with the support of the Diamond Mall management. This exhibition was created to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory over fascism. The Director of the State Archives, Prof. Dr. Natasha Kotlar-Trajkova, opened the exhibition and spoke about the importance of archives in preserving the collective memory of the sacrifice made by the Macedonian people and all nationalities of Macedonia in gaining freedom. The end of World War II and participation in the anti-fascist coalition enabled the creation of the modern Macedonian state.
The author, Dr. Jasmina Damjanovska, pointed out that the exhibition presents documents from the "Commemorative Medal of the Partisans of 1941" fund, which contains documentation for 777 participants in World War II. archive. From that fund, documents from the Commemorative medal of the Partisans of 28 fighters of different nationalities are presented. And that the memory of each name of the heroes who contributed to freedom should be preserved. Collaborators in this project were Prof. Dr. Lenina Žila from the Institute of National History and MA Jovan Stojanovski from the State Archives.
The event was also attended by students from the Kiro Gligorov Primary School - Municipality of Centar, in addition to other guests. The exhibition will remain open for visitors until 17 October 17 2025, and all citizens will be able to visit it. The State Archives expresses public gratitude for the social responsibility of Diamond Mall.
