Sitel Television and their morning program „Ја сакам Македонија“ (“I Love Macedonia”) produced a wonderful reportage about the State Archives, dedicated to showing how old documents are restored and conserved—our most precious cultural heritage.
Our colleagues Marjan and Tulaj explained the entire process with great dedication: from the initial assessment of the damage, through careful cleaning and stabilization, to the final restoration that allows the documents to continue to live on for many more generations.
This reportage is yet another confirmation that behind every saved document stands a quiet yet magnificent mission: preserving our shared memory.
It is especially valuable that the public had the opportunity to take a look inside the laboratories and workspaces where every sheet of paper is treated with the care as if it were an invaluable work of art.
Through their words and demonstrations, it was once again confirmed that archivists are not only guardians of documents—they are guardians of the identity, history, and continuity of the state.
We are proud that the professionalism and expertise of our team are receiving visibility and recognition, and even prouder that every day we contribute to preserving the heritage entrusted to us.
