The exhibition "The Movies We Loved (1947 - 1980)" opened by the Historical Archive of Pozarevac, enriched with the exhibition entitled "Macedonian Cinematography (1947 - 1991)", prepared by the State Archives of the Republic of Northern Macedonia and the Cinematheque of the Republic of North Macedonia

On June 3 (Monday) 2019, in the Cinematheque of the Republic of Northern Macedonia was opened the exhibition "The Movies We Loved (1947-1980)" enriched with the exhibition entitled "Macedonian Cinematography (1947 - 1991)".

In his address to the audience, the director of the State Archives of the Republic of Northern Macedonia, Mr. Kiril Petrov, emphasized that the memory of the common rich cultural past was only one of the challenges for setting up the exhibition in our country. The State Archive of the Republic of Northern Macedonia, according to the director Kiril Petrov, this time again confirmed itself as a custodian of the archival national treasure and in general the most reliable display of Macedonian history, tradition and culture. In addition to the exhibition "The Movies We Loved (1947-1980)", archival funds from the State Archives of the Republic of Northern Macedonia were used, such as: "Commission for Cinematography at the Government of the People's Republic of Macedonia", "Association of Independent Film Authors and Associates of Macedonia - Film Studio - Skopje 1968/1975 ", the fund" Gradski Kina ", the fund" Republic Secretariat of Culture in SR Macedonia ", the fund" Central Committee of the Union of Communists of Macedonia "and many others.

Director Kiril Petrov expressed gratitude to the Cinematheque of the Republic of Northern Macedonia for the accepted call for cooperation, to all collaborators who were involved in preparing the exhibition and organizing the promotional event and to the director of the Historical Archive of Pozarevac, Dr. Jasmina Nikolic, who is one of the authors of the exhibition. The event was attended and addressed by the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia, N. E. Mrs. Dusanka Divjak-Tomic.

On the same day in the premises of the State Archives of the Republic of Northern Macedonia, the two directors signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, which provides for the implementation of common interests in promoting cooperation in the field of archival science and profession, scientific research, establishing and promoting cooperation between signatory parties. organizations and archivists.
