Leaflets from the Collection
In the State Archive of the Republic of Northern Macedonia is preserved a very interesting and old unpublished manuscript - apocryphal collection, in which the apocryphal composition of Aphrodite the Persian is represented.
The text gives an apocryphal story about the miracle that took place in Persia and the birth of Jesus Christ, which is the basis of the biblical account of the Savior's birth.
The Apocrypha of Christ's birth with all its accompanying moments were the favorite literature of the people for many centuries, until the 19th century. This is evidenced by the numerous episodes and motifs that have passed from the apocrypha to the folklore of all Slavic peoples.
