During his visit of Štip, the President Stevo Pendarovski, also visited the State Archives - Department of Štip. He was informed about the conditions, the structure and functioning of the Archives.
The head of the Štip department, Delčo Trajkov, showed the president Stevo Pendarovski several rare documents important for our history, which are owned by the Štip Department, such as: two report cards signed by Goce Delčev in the school of Novo Selo, an Application for Entrance at the Faculty of Philosophy by the people’s hero Vančo Prkje, a diploma of the first doctor/surgeon in Štip, property deeds (tapu) from the Ottoman period, as well as the first radio broadcast about the liberation of Štip.
Meanwhile, the Štip department of the State Archives has at its keeping 523 fonds and 22 collections of important historic materials and documents, and the oldest are from 1895.
