The State Archives of Bitola is commemorating seven decades of committed work on preservation and protection of the rich historic heritage. The commemoration of the anniversary, organized in cooperation with EUROPE HOUSE - Bitola, shall include a series of activities and events in the Officers House - Bitola.

The jubilee monograph offers the first analytical and discursive coverage of the basic pillars of the archival activity, as well as the important experiences of a range of archival practitioners who have been employed in the institution since the 1950s until today. The public is provided with an opportunity to be familiarized with the development of the archival practice, the commemorative function of the archives and the principles of preservation of archive materials - illustrated by the recent experience in digitization of the archival heritage of the Brothers Manaki Fond.
In the archivists forum we would like to invite the guests and the audience to enter a deeper discussion about the role of the archives in the community and their importance about the local history and culture. The event organizers place a special emphasis on the aspect of the archivists' experiences and practice in the archival field, which will be the vantage point for discussing the subjects.
The event is especially relevant for the social factors in the filed of culture, science and education, the professionals and archivists, representatives of relevant institutions, representatives of the international community, educators, students, high-school students, representatives of the culture and civil sector, representatives of the Municipality of Bitola and the local self-government, local historians and representatives of the media.
