The State Archives participated in celebrating the International Week of Archives by inaugurating the “Milton” exhibition at the House of the Army in Strumica. The event, organized by the Department of State Archives - Strumica, saw the presence of archival professionals and numerous enthusiasts of historical heritage. Gorancho Kolevski, the head of the Department of State Archives - Strumica, along with Gotse Stojanovski, the head of the Department of State Archives - Bitola, Dimitar Gjorgievski, an archivist from the same department, and Dr. Jasmina Damjanovska, the head of the Department for the Publication of Archival Material, who are among the exhibition's authors, addressed the audience at the opening. The event showcased a digital exhibition delving into the thematic and chronological exploration of Milton Manaki's photographic work. The speakers underscored the significance of honoring the achievements and profession of archivists in their speeches.
During the International Archives Week, celebrated internationally by archivists and the International Council on Archives, professional archivists from Departments of the State Archives in Veles, Bitola, and Skopje visited the Strumica Department and the complex near the church of "St. 15 Tiveriopolski Martyrs".
Archivists from our country remain united in their endeavor to advance archival practices and underscore the importance of archives in contemporary societies and in the future.
