The State Archives announces a call for submissions (contributions) for the new double issue of the international scholarly journal “Makedonski Archivist” No. 39–40, which publishes papers on archival theory and practice, theory and methodology of studying and using written historical sources (documents), archival education, presentations of archival collections from the State Archives and other archives, as well as contributions such as materials, chronicles, travelogues, memoirs, critiques, biographies, reviews, reports, and announcements prepared with or referring to archival documentation.
This double issue will be published in 2026.
Papers should be written in Macedonian or in one of the international languages (English, French, German, or Russian). If the paper is written in Macedonian, the abstract must be in English; if the paper is written in one of the international languages, the abstract must be in Macedonian.
The submission must include a short biography of the author and a signed and scanned statement of authorship.
The Editorial Board of the journal “Macedonian Archivist” invites you to submit your papers by email to makedonski.arhivist@arhiv.gov.mk no later than June 12, 2026. Authors are asked to respect this deadline, the Editorial Board will notify authors by June 12, 2026regarding the acceptance of the submitted papers, and for each accepted paper, a reviewer will be assigned to conduct an anonymous review.
When writing the paper, the guidelines from the Guidelines for the preparation of the texts in the "Makedonski Archivist" magazine, which can be found on the website of the State Archives, must be applied.
