Today, at the National Gallery – Čifte Amam in Skopje, the exhibition ‘Documents and Photographs on Macedonia in the Ottoman Period’ was held. The event was part of the celebration marking the significant 75th anniversary of the State Archive, during which valuable archival materials were presented, testifying to historical processes and the life of the population in Macedonia during the 19th century. As part of the exhibition, the publication ‘Census of the Christian Population of the Skopje Sanjak – Tetovo Kaza 1838/39’ by Dr. Adnan Sherif was also promoted, representing an important contribution to the study of demographic and social history.
