The Director of the State Archives, M.A. Dimitar Bogeski, and the Head of the Department for Research, International and Domestic Cooperation, and Publication of Archival Material, Svetlana Usprtsova, participated in a workshop/meeting of the NATO Archives Committee, which was held on 21–22 May at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece. This was the first time such an event had been organized outside NATO Headquarters in Brussels.
These working meetings are held twice a year, and the State Archives has been a regular and active participant since our country's accession to NATO on 27 March 2020.
The event provided an excellent opportunity for the exchange of professional experiences, with a particular focus on the declassification processes of archival documents related to NATO missions and the implementation of best practices in archival management and personal data protection.
