At yesterday’s session, the Government adopted the new Regulation on Office and Archival Operations, which represents a significant step forward in modernizing the system for managing archival and documentary materials, and establishes a solid foundation for more efficient, responsible, and modern administrative operations.
The State Archives takes particular pride in the fact that its expert staff actively participated in the preparation of this strategically important secondary legislation. Through their expertise, long-standing experience, and professional dedication, they made a significant contribution to the drafting of the Regulation.
Under the leadership of the Director, M.Sc. Dimitar Bogeski, the State Archives once again confirmed its role as a leading national institution in the field of archival science and a trusted partner in the development of modern archival regulations aligned with the best European practices and the needs of public administration.
With the adoption of this Regulation, a new legal framework in the field of archival activity has been established. It regulates electronic creation, management, storage, and transfer of archival and documentary materials, the information system for office and archival operations, as well as the Unified National Archival Information System.
We extend our gratitude to the Government, institutions, members of the working group, and all involved parties for their contribution and dedicated engagement in the preparation of the Regulation.
