Today we celebrate 75 years of the State Archives

This milestone is more than just a number – it is a testament to the perseverance, dedication, and historical mission of the institution that preserves the memory of the Macedonian people and state. The Archive stands as a living witness to our history, the journey of statehood and cultural identity, and to all those documents and records that shape our collective memory.

Over these seven and a half decades, the State Archives has fulfilled its mission: to be the guardian of authentic sources, to provide access for researchers and citizens, and to convey the importance of archival heritage to future generations. It serves as a bridge between the past and the future, a guarantee that our history will remain alive and accessible.

Special recognition is due to the staff – archivists, researchers, technical personnel, and all those whose dedication and love for the profession sustain the Archive as an institution of national significance. Their work is quiet but essential: they are the guardians of the documents that tell the story of Macedonia. Seventy-five years of the Archive – a celebration of history, of work, and of the future.

Wishing us a joyful anniversary!

Let us continue together to preserve the memory of our state, to nurture our history, and to pass it on to future generations with the same dedication and care that have guided us over these 75 years.
