On 9 June 2026, the Director of the State Archives of North Macedonia, M.Sc. Dimitar Bogeski, held a working meeting with Associate Professor Dr. Vlatka Lemić, Head of the University of Zagreb Archives.
In addition to leading the University's Central Office for Archival Records, Associate Professor Dr. Lemić is a lecturer in archival science at the University of Zagreb, Vice-President of the International Centre for Archival Research (ICARUS), President of ICARUS Croatia, a member of the Executive Board of the European Regional Branch of the International Council on Archives (EURBICA), and an active contributor to numerous national and international projects in the fields of culture, archival science, and digital heritage, including Creative Europe, Erasmus+, Time Machine, DARIAH, and AERI. She is also the author of numerous professional and academic publications.
The meeting focused on the possibility of identifying archival materials relating to North Macedonia from the 1960s preserved at the University of Zagreb, as well as opportunities for the State Archives to participate in international projects in the fields of archival science and digital heritage. The participants also discussed support for the ongoing digitalisation process and explored prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation with the University of Zagreb through its Department of Archival Science and the Central Office for Archival Records, with the aim of promoting professional exchange and the development of joint initiatives.
