The deputy director of the State Archives, Dr. Muzafer Bislimi, and the State Counselor, Assoc. Dr. Adnan Sherif, on October 29, 2023. are on a work visit to the Republic of Turkey, during which they had a meeting with vice-president of the Directorate of State Archives under the presidency of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Sebahatin Bayram.
At the meeting, the details of the project "Macedonia in the documentation of the Ottoman State" on which working groups from the two institutions have been working for a long time were specified. To the scientific and general public in both countries during 2024, archive materials that have not been popularized so far will be presented to her through an exhibition. The Ottoman archive heritage is among the key sources for the history of the Balkan Peninsula, including Macedonia. Dr. Muzafer Bislimi as the leader of the expert team working on the exhibition from the State Archives emphasized that the support of the Directorate of State Archives for researchers from the Republic of North Macedonia has been confirmed many times and thanked for the open access.
Within the framework of the visit to the Republic of Turkey, the representatives of the State Archives are conducting extensive scientific research that will enrich the content of the archival funds.
