This edition is a continuation of the collection "Chronicles of the villages in the Kostur region", volume 1, books 1 and 2, published within the publishing activity of the State Archives of the Republic of Macedonia in 2018, as part of the project "Chronicles of settlements in the part of "Macedonia in Greece." The wealth of data placed in the large collection of chronicles deposited in the Documentary Department "Dr. Velimir Brezovski" at the Institute of National History in Skopje, which actually initiated the start of the project, led to the preparation of this collection of oral historical sources, which includes chronicles of the villages in the Lerin Region, which by their number, together with the materials dedicated to the Kostur villages, make up the largest part of this archival collection.
The collection of documents "Chronicles of the villages in the Lerin region", marked as volume 2 book 2, contains chronicles of 23 villages in the Lerin region, divided into two books and the second includes 13 chronicles, selected and technically processed by the editors. The chronicles are arranged in alphabetical order of the names of the settlements, and at the end of each text is indicated the original signature under which each document is registered individually in the Documentation Department of INI.
Given that the chronicles abound with data obtained on the basis of oral expressions of personal, indirect and transmitted collective memories of local character of the interviewed individuals covering the period from the beginning of the revival in Ottoman Macedonia in the second half of the 19th century to the end of the Civil War. war in Greece in 1949 and this edition includes an introduction which gives a brief historiographical overview of the events that took place in the covered historical framework.
