Within the intensive international cooperation realized by the State Archive of the Republic of Northern Macedonia, the Director Kiril Petrov on 23.4.2019 had a working meeting with a delegation from the Archives of Vojvodina from the Republic of Serbia led by the Director, Mr. Nebojsa Kuzmanovic.
The Director, Mr. Kiril Petrov acquainted the guests with the organizational set-up of the State Archive of the Republic of Northern Macedonia as well as with its competencies and challenges in accomplishing the tasks. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the agreement on signing a Protocol on Mutual Cooperation, which opens opportunities for the implementation of new initiatives. At the meeting, the participants opened questions about the archival activity that takes place in both institutions, the mutual support in sharing experiences in the field of information systems and digitalization. The exchange of experts is one of the priorities to which the directors of the institutions committed themselves, as well as starting a project for refugee children from the Aegean part of Macedonia settled in Vojvodina after the Civil War. The State Archives and the Archives of Vojvodina, as pointed out by the directors, will continue to initiate ideas and projects in the common interest of the archives.
During the visit, the delegation had the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of the departments for arranging and processing archive material and protection of archival material, where the members of the delegation were presented with practical experiences by the staff.
In March 2019, the director Kiril Petrov visited the Archives of Vojvodina, where the dynamics of the cooperation in the following period was agreed.
