The State Archives published the monograph "Boris Sarafov"

The monograph "Boris Sarafov" by Dr. Nikola Zezhov is one of the last from the edition "Macedonian Actors", which opened many unexplained questions from the history of the Macedonian revolutionary movement and VMRO. The only monograph ever published by a Macedonian author about Boris Sarafov is the one published by the revolutionary Pavel Shatev, which he began writing in 1944, and was republished by the State Archives in Macedonian in 2013. "Boris Sarafov" is the first monographic book about this historical figure in our country and aims to explain all aspects of the life and revolutionary work of Boris Sarafov, without prejudice, using many unpublished sources, published documents, extensive literature, memoirs. and periodicals.

Boris Sarafov's personality has been the subject of much controversy in the past over his role in key events in Macedonian national history since the early 20th century. The elaboration of the work of this Macedonian revolutionary has so far lacked scientific methodology and the use of archival documentation, and historians have mostly relied on memoirs and ideologically motivated monographs.

The monograph uses previously unpublished documents on life and revolutionary activity, which were found during research in the State Archives of the Republic of Northern Macedonia (DARSM) as well as in the Central State Archives (CDA) in Sofia. Through analytical and comparative method, primarily on unpublished sources, the author tries to explain many events related to the revolutionary activity of Boris Sarafov. The reader will notice that the text contains numerous names of Macedonian revolutionaries from all ideological currents in the Macedonian revolutionary movement and we try to explain their relationship and cooperation with Boris Sarafov. The monograph "Boris Sarafov" notes what has been unknown or not noticed at all about this character through scientific papers in Macedonian historiography. Through scientific-based facts and arguments, the reader is shown another important and taboo person from the Macedonian national history.

Sarafov as a member of the General Staff of the Ilinden Uprising, comrade-in-arms of Goce Delchev and Gjorce Petrov, the Macedonian revolutionary about whom foreign newspapers wrote the most, deserves a place in the collective memory of the Macedonian people.
