The Ambassador of the Russian Federation, H.E Mr. Sergei Baznikin, in a visit to the State Archives.
The Director of the State Archives, Dr. Emil Krsteski had a meeting with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation, H.E Mr. Sergei Baznikin.
The occasion for this meeting is the recently signed Agreement on cooperation with the State Archives of the Russian Federation, which refers to the publication of a common collection of documents, with the working title "Macedonians in Russia - Russians in Macedonia", which will include documents from the late XIX century and the first half of the XX century. The documents that will be published in the collection will contain documents from the archives of the Russian Federation, as well as from the archives in our country.
At the meeting, ambassador Baznikin expressed his satisfaction that such a project will be realized and offered his support for the realization of the same.
Dr. Emil Krsteski gave to the Ambassador a copy of the agreement regarding the common publication and informed the Ambassador that working groups have already been established to work on the selection of documents, both in our State Archive and in the State Archives of the Russian Federation.
At the meeting, the director of the State Archives, Dr. Krsteski proposed new activities that will contribute to the intensification of research in the archives of the Russian Federation and deepen cooperation.
