The director of the State Archives of the Republic of North Macedonia and directot of the State Archives of Serbia, Dr. Emil Krsteski and Dr. Miroslav Perisic respectively, signed a Cooperation Protocol in Skopje. This is the first agreement between these two institutions, which defines the directions of cooperation in the field of historic documents and archives, and deepens the relations between the two archives with a legal framework.
This agreement is the basis for the implementation of future common projects and programs. One of the first concrete steps in that direction is the foreseen publishing a collection of documents from the period between the two world wars.
At the official meeting, the delegations led by the directors Dr. Emil Krsteski and Dr. Miroslav Perisic exchanged experiences about the activities performed so far, and discussed their future plans and activities.
The guests from Belgrade had the opportunity to be acquainted with the functioning of several Sectors and Departments of the State Archives, with the technical equipment, and with the Depository.
The ceremonial signing of the Cooperation Protocol was also attended by the Ambassador of Serbia in our country, H.E. Nevena Jovanovi.
