The State Archives has a long-term successful cooperation with the Directory of the State Archives of the Presidency of Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Coordination and Cooperation Agency, which has tangible results and benefits for the institution in fulfilling the strategic goals. Confirmation about the intensive cooperation was today's visit of the Turkish Coordination and Cooperation Agency TIKA from the Republic of Turkey, Dr. Mahmut Çevik, and the program director of TIKA in Skopje, Halim Ömer Söğüt, where they had a work meeting with the Director of the State Archives, Dr. Emil Krstevski.


At the meeting the participants discussed the improved work conditions in the Department for Arranging and Processing Archive Materials - Ottoman Period, thanks to the support of TIKA and its help in adapting the facility interior, and providing office furniture and equipment. The Director, Dr. Emil Krsteski, expressed his gratitude, and pointed out that the modernization and the improvement of the work conditions created good conditions for the activity of the expert personnel. which would effect the achievements in the scientific research. It is also going to inevitably lead to new discoveries about the Macedonian national history in the said period.

At the work meeting, both sides agreed that there are new perspectives for cooperation in the field of the development of the archival activities and exchange of practices. The cultural and historic heritage is one of the bridges that will continue to connect our two countries and their peoples. Dr. Emil Krstevski presented the guests from the Republic of Turkey with fermans owned by the State Archives.
The visit included the ceremonial opening of the Centre for Digitalization, also established with the help of TIKA.
