The State archives plays an important role in preserving historical records and making them available to researchers, scientists, and the public, as well as in the education of high school and college students.
On March 24, 2023 (Friday), the students from the first and second year of high school “Josip Broz Tito”, together with the subject teacher of History Irena Trajkovska-Sterjovska, had the opportunity to participate in a workshop where they got to know the work of the State Archives as well as the way of organizing and processing the archival material. Students actively participated in the workshop, analyzed documents together with educators from the State Archives and acquired skills and knowledge to use these resources, which will prepare them for careers in the field of history, archival science and related disciplines.
The students reviewed part of the publishing activity of the archive, and the large library fund, which is available to them if they need it during their education.
During the archival workshop, the students asked archival professionals questions and expressed their satisfaction with the realized workshop, gave their ideas and expressed their desire to implement the next archival workshop.
