At the invitation of the Macedonian Center for International Cooperation, the State Archives joined the "Birthright Macedonia" program, which is implemented in cooperation with the United Macedonian Diaspora from Washington, USA. The program foresees internship in the State Archives for young people originating from our country and have an affinity to study the archival activity and research of cultural-historical heritage. This year, archival professionals will impart their knowledge and experience to a Boston University graduate student during the internship which will take place from July 3 to July 20, 2023.
The State Archives has once again demonstrated its social responsibility and makes its own contribution in the transfer of practical knowledge and connecting the successful emigrants with the state institutions. The State Archives showed interest in preserving the documentary heritage of emigration, and as a result in 2021, in cooperation with the Agency for Emigration, it opened a Call for submission of archival materials, which is still open.
