On the great holiday of Ilinden, on the square in Ohrid, on a video beam, the State Archives presented the exhibition "120 years of the Ilinden Uprising - documents and photos", which was previously presented at the "Ten Days of Krusevo Republic" event in Krusevo. The exhibition contains over 300 archival documents and photographs displayed on 20 exhibition panels. The documents are part of the archival funds kept in the State Archives, and were taken from the archives in Istanbul, Sofia and Belgrade.
At the beginning of the video presentation of this exhibition, the director of the State Archives, Emil Krsteski, and the head of the State Archives - Ohrid Department, Nikola Mitrović, spoke. The State Archives expressed great gratitude to Mihajlo Filev for his support and engagement in the realization of this project.
This exhibition was also presented in front of the "Macedonium" in Krushevo, and with it the State Archive joined the celebration of the 120th anniversary of the Ilinden epic.
- I am glad that this year the State Archive is present with its own projects at the opening of the "Ten Days of Krusevo Republic" event. This exhibition shows: the creation of the Macedonian Revolutionary Organization, the swearing-in ceremonies of the membership, the discipline and solidarity of the Organization, its structure, the famous dukes and revolutionaries, the preparations for the Ilinden Uprising, the course and the key armed battles with the Turkish army. Several panels also show the activities that followed the uprising, its consequences and effects, as well as the consular reports and the publications of the world's print media about it - said the director of the State Archives, Emil Krsteski, on the occasion of the opening of the exhibition.
