In the period from September 17 to 23, 2023, the deputy director of the State Archive of the Republic of North Macedonia prof. Dr. Muzafer Bislimi, along with Acting the head of the Editing and Editing Department, Lili Savatić, and the head of the Translation and Proofreading Department, M.A. Irfete Ibraimi, realized a research stay at the State Archives of Croatia. During the stay, there was a meeting with the director of the Croatian State Archives, Dinko Čutura, during which the strengthening of further cooperation and opportunities for the implementation of joint projects were discussed.

The purpose of the research stay was to research the "Goli Otok" fund, i.e. the files of the prisoners of that infamous prison, finding the files of people originally from Macedonia who served time in that prison. The HDA in this fund has over 15,000 files of people from the entire former SFRY (Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia), and over 800 files have been separated for which, according to the names of the people, it is assumed that they are from the Republic of North Macedonia, and a separate list has been made. During this stay, about 20 files with about 500 pages were copied and taken from them, which will be handed over to the DARSM Depot and will be available for use according to our and Croatian laws. Also, the list of about 800 names will also be handed over to DARSM, and can be used for information.

During the stay in Croatia, the delegation of DARSM held a meeting with the ambassador of RSM in Zagreb, Dr. Milaim Fetahu, who expressed his willingness to support and help any initiative of DARSM for joint projects with institutions in Croatia, but also with our diaspora in Croatia.
