As part of the project "Digitalization of the State Archives of North Macedonia – DIG_DARSM,"implemented with the support of the Centre for International Cooperation and Development (CMSR) of the Republic of Slovenia, a working meeting was held on 10 June 2026 at the Archives of the Republic of Slovenia between the Director of the State Archives, M.Sc. Dimitar Bogeski, and the Director of the Archives of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr. Andrej Nared.
During the meeting, the participants exchanged experiences and discussed the challenges of introducing electronic records management, including the relevant legislative framework. The discussions reaffirmed the long-standing and productive cooperation between these two institutions of strategic importance.
The State Archives aims to become the country's centralised national system for document archiving through the implementation of a pilot project introducing an e-Archive and e-Repository (e-Depot).
This project lays the foundation for one of the key pillars of the national strategy to establish a paperless administration by digitalising the archiving process in North Macedonia and developing a national e-Archive within the State Archives.
