THE STATE ARCHIVE CELEBRATES 70 YEARS OF ITS EXISTENCE

The State Archive of the Republic of Northern Macedonia (DARSM) celebrates its 70th anniversary on April 1. The solemn academy on the occasion of the anniversary of its foundation will be held on April 1 in the NI "Museum of the Macedonian Struggle."

The event will be addressed by the patron of the event, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, as well as the Director of the State Archives Dr. Emil Krsteski, while David Fricker, President of the International Archives Council and Director of the National Archives of Australia will address with a video message.

Given the conditions in which we find ourselves, this jubilee will be modestly celebrated, but we consider it of particular importance to use such anniversaries to emphasize once again the exceptional importance of the Archives and archival workers, both in our country and in the whole world.

On the occasion of this jubilee, the monograph "Seal of Time - 70 years of the State Archives (1951-2021)" will be promoted, which will present the historical development of the State Archives, through the most important photographs and documents available to the Archive, and the collection will be promoted. "The First People of the State Archives (1951-2021)". After the official part of the event, the guests will be able to see the exhibition "Skopje City Municipality" dedicated to the mayors of the city of Skopje.
