One of the priorities of the State Archives is the development of the education activities with students from the secondary schools and faculties. This helps the familiarisation with the archival science as a possible choice for future professional orientation and affirms the place and role of the State Archives in the society.
On 2.12.2021 (Thursday), students of the international school Maarif, with the subject professor, Gülasfiye Melani, visited the State Archives and had an opportunity to get acquainted with the work process and some important documents from the Ottoman period. The manner of acquiring, arranging, processing, conserving, keeping and using the archive material were explained to the students by skilled professionals of the archives.
The employees of the reading room and the library presented part of the publishing activity of the institution and invited the students to use the vast library fond for their educational needs.
During the discussion at the end of the visit, the students posed questions to the archive professionals, expressed their satisfaction with the successful presentation, and asked for the additional realization of common educational projects.
