On June 2 and 3, is being held the annual meeting of NATO Archival Committee at the NATO Headquarters in Brussels, with the participation of the Director of State Archives, Dr. Emil Krsteski, as a full member of this Committee from one and a half year ago.
At the meeting was talked about the procedures for the protection and availability of operational records within the Alliance, their safekeeping and significance at national level, the importance of strategic documents related to NATO peacekeeping missions in Afghanistan, Iraq, and the Balkans (1992-1996), and the long-term values of NATO policies.
About the challenges of archival activity and the possibility of more intensive co-operation, the Director of State Archives, Dr. Emil Krsteski, discussed with NATO's head of archivist and information, Ineke Desserno, and he met our ambassador of the Permanent Delegation of the Republic of North Macedonia to NATO, Dr. Dane Taleski.
