The directors of the State Archives of the countries of former SFR Yugoslavia held a meeting in Belgrade. The representatives of Slovenia, Croatia, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Archives of Yugoslavia agreed on the dynamics of securing the historic documents with provenance from 1945 to 1992, and their digitalization.
,,The Archives of Yugoslavia remains open for us, and we have emphasised that we are also interested in securing original documents from this period that are important for Macedonia" - the director Dr. Emil Krsteski said after the Belgrade meeting.
One of the conclusions of the meeting, which was held after a hiatus of 11 years, is to increase the frequency of the meetings, and to intensify the process of succession of historic documents and speed up the process of their digitalization. It has been agreed to hold the next succession meeting in Ohrid, at the end of March 2023.
