The State Archives has been cooperating with our diaspora for many years and enriches the documentation on the functioning of the clubs in the USA, Canada, Australia and other countries. At the first symposium of the United Macedonian Diaspora (UMD), held on July 21, 2023 in Skopje, the State Archives received a Letter of Gratitude for its participation in the "Native of Macedonia" program. With that, the State Archives was included among the social institutions that contribute to the connection of the diaspora with the mother country.
"The State Archive remains open for cooperation with our diaspora, but also open for their internship, especially of the young generations, who are interested in and study our past, our history, culture and tradition," said the director of the State Archive, Dr. Emil Krsteski.
Such an example was the internship of Viktorija Popovska, a senior in journalism studies at Boston University from the USA who visited the State Archives for three weeks, during which she had the opportunity to get to know the institutional functioning and archival activity.
