The exhibition "120 years since the Ilinden Uprising - archival memory" of the State Archives, on September 1, 2023, was presented in the House of Culture "Ilinden" in Demir Hisar at the request of the citizens on the occasion of the celebration of the Liberation Day of the city. In the presence of representatives of the local self-government and respecters of the historical past, one of the authors presented the exhibition, i.e. the archival materials owned by the State Archives, which reveal new facts about the Ilinden epic. At the event, a discussion developed about the developments in the Demir Hisar region and Smilevo during that stormy period.
The exhibition has so far been presented in Krushevo, Ohrid, Skopje, and in the coming period it is planned to be set up in Makedonski Brod and Bitola. The State Archives will continue to affirm the archival wealth of the Macedonian cultural-historical past by preparing exhibitions and publishing scientific works.
