In 2024, the Macedonian and Turkish public will be introduced to hitherto unpublished documents and photographs from the archive funds of the state archives of the two countries through a rich exhibition entitled “Macedonia in the Ottoman documents”. The cultural-historical heritage of Ottoman Macedonia presented through urban life, fashion, education, architecture, and many other sub-themes will be represented on numerous panels that are expected to attract the attention of those who respect the historical past.
The deputy director of the State Archives, Dr. Muzafer Bislimi, as the chairman of the working group from the State Archives for the implementation of the project, coordinates the work of archival professionals who work intensively on the preparation of the exhibition. Currently, research activities are being carried out in coordination with the Turkish colleagues, adhering to the deadlines.
