The State Archives visited by the pupils of the Rametulla Ahmeti Primary from Zelino Municipality

    The State Archives as a socially responsible institution is involved in the educational and student activities in the primary and secondary schools aimed at introducing pupils and students to the archival profession.
       On 19 November 2024, a group of ninth grade pupils from the "Rametulla Ahmeti" primary school form the village of Chiflik in the Želino Municipality, visited the Archives as a part of the History course. The pupils had an opportunity to get acquainted with the procedures of arranging and processing documents, the manner of use of documents by the researchers, as well as with the use of books in the library.

    Special attention was paid to the techniques of treating the documents which involve chemical processes, as well as to their digitization and preservation using modern technologies. At the end of the visit, the students met with the deputy director, Dimitar Bogeski, M.A., whom they asked questions regarding the archival work.
           The State Archives uses the archival education of pupils as a manner for popularization of the archival practice.
