Today marks 153 years since the birth of Goce Delčev (1872-1903), the strategist of the Macedonian Revolutionary Organization, a historic figure who greatly contributed to the awakening of the libertarian spirit of the Macedonian people during his epoch.
The memoirs of Dimo Hadji Dimov state that Goce is "the only one among the leaders of the Macedonian liberation struggle who rose above the rest not only with his revolutionary ideas, but also with his practical efforts for the deed of the organization to which he has bonded his name forever." The State Archives has continuously given its contribution to nourishing the memory of this grand figure, by preparing a thematic exhibition showcasing Goce Delčev's letters.
At the link bellow you can read the letter from Goce Delčev to Nikola Zografov, where he notifies the latter about the consequences of the treason of Georgi Ivanov from Vinica and Teodosi Kirov Minev (Serafot) from Kočani, and about the measures that should be taken by his confidants regarding the liquidation of Georgi or his intimidation. Sofia, 6 June 1899.
