Today at 12:00 PM at the “Boris Trajkovski” Arena in Skopje, the 37th International Book Fair was officially opened.
The motto of this year’s Fair is “Soul’s Delight.”
At the opening of the Fair, speeches were delivered by: Mr. Milka Trimčevska, Director of the Bureau for Development of Education; the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Nikola Selaković; the President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Dr. Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova; and the Minister of Culture of the Republic of North Macedonia, Zoran Ljutkov. They visited the State Archive’s stand at the fair, where they were welcomed by Mr. Dimitar Bogeski, Deputy Director of the State Archive, who presented the publishing activities of the Archives.
During the Fair, Mr. Dimitar Bogeski had a brief meeting with Mr. Nikola Selaković, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Serbia, who expressed great interest in the archival collections of the State Archive and in strengthening cooperation with the Archive of the Republic of Serbia.
At this Fair, among others, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia is also presenting its publications. At their stand, Mr. Dimitar Bogeski met with Dr. Aleksandar Rastović, professor at the Faculty of Philosophy in Niš, Director of the Historical Institute in Belgrade, and President of the Management Board of the Archives of the Republic of Serbia.
At this Fair, the State Archives is presenting around fifty titles, including publications on prominent historical figures, editions of archival document collections on the history of our country—resulting from research conducted in foreign archives—several monographs that thoroughly explore specific events and historical issues, as well as original works by distinguished historians.
All publications of the State Archives, as usual during the Fair, are being sold at discounted prices of up to 30% off.
