Today, the Director of the State Archives of the Republic of North Macedonia, Mr. Dimitar Bogeski, MSc, held a working meeting with the Mayor of the Municipality of Bitola, Mr. Toni Konjanovski. During the meeting, the participants discussed opportunities for enhancing cooperation between the State Archives and the Municipality of Bitola, with particular emphasis on the importance of interinstitutional collaboration. In this context, the role of the Archives was highlighted as one of the key institutions responsible for preserving and safeguarding the cultural and historical heritage of the city and the wider region. Special attention was given to archival collections of international significance, including the fonds related to the Manaki Brothers, which represent an important part of the cultural and historical heritage of Bitola and the Republic of North Macedonia. Both interlocutors expressed their readiness to continue and further deepen cooperation, with the aim of creating better working conditions and ensuring appropriate protection and presentation of the archival heritage.
