Following the commitment to developing awareness of the significance of the archival practice among the youngest, the State Archives recently published the manual "The Archives - a Door to History (Archival Education)" by the authors Nazmije Kurtiš, Biljana Krstevska MA and Marjan Gijovski MA. This is the first manual of this format, which, through an appropriate methodological approach and illustrations, presents the activities of the State Archives and the responsibilities of archivists today. Archives are centers in which the youngest build a relationship with the cultural and historical past and are a treasury of knowledge.
It is our obligation to encourage acceptance of the archival profession among students because documentary heritage is the foundation of the state.
The publisher of the manual is the State Archives director, Mr. Dimitar Bogeski, MA, its editor is Dr. Vasko Dukmedziev and it reviewer is Ljupka Andov, MA.
