The State Archive of the Republic of Northern Macedonia published the collection "Petar Mandzukov (1878-1966) Anarchist and Critic of a Contemporary - Publications and Letters", editor Dr. Makedonka Mitrova

Petar Mandzukov, born in the village of Mirkovci, Skopje, is a particularly interesting historical figure because he was a witness and at the same time a direct participant in many historical events at that time. He was a Macedonian revolutionary and anarchist, a profound thinker, a passionate polemicist, a great humanist and a Balkan pacifist. The People's Republic of Macedonia created this book. The editor also explains how Mandzhukov's anarchist worldview was built under the influence of the written works of Proudhon, Bakunin and Kropotkin. Although he was socially active in Bulgaria for most of his life, Mandzukov's interest in his native country was continuously present in his writings. An important indicator of this statement is the fact that all his writings and memoirs began after the creation of the Macedonian state as a separate republic within the Yugoslav federation.

With the processing of the "Personal Fund of Petar Mandzukov" by the State Archives, which in addition to Mandzukov's publications contains his extensive correspondence with various Macedonian and Bulgarian socialists, came the idea of making their selection.

The collection is the first book of documents published so far, which reveals the life of this prominent anarchist and revolutionary figure, of his allusions to what a just and solidary human society should look like. In fact, the Collection is an enlightenment and supplement to the overall life activity of Petar Mandzukov. It consists of two parts. The first part presents his following publications / writings: Short biographical notes, Childhood, A look at the past - Skopje, Bogomilism, Ada-Kale (Memories) and Rules of Life. This section also includes two notes about him by his close friend Dr. Konstantin Kantarev with the following titles: Pale Memories of Petar Mandzukov and A Tombstone for Petar Mandzukov. The second part of the Collection consists of 80 letters. It includes the correspondence of P. Mandzukov with: Pavel Shatev, Simeon Radev, Konstantin Kantarev, Anastas Mitrev and Alekso Martulkov, Patriarch Kiril, Mitko Zafirovski, Kraljo Kajstorov and Kraljo Marikevski as well as a letter with his friend Stefan Hadziev.

This Collection of archive material is published on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the birth of Petar Mandzukov. The documents in the Collection are chronologically arranged according to the time of their creation. The texts have been translated from Bulgarian into Macedonian, and there are a smaller number in both codified Macedonian and local speech from Skopska Crna Gora. The texts were originally transmitted, without any intervention. Each document has a number and an editorial title according to its subject (with the exception of its publications that have their own titles) as well as notes (footnotes), with the necessary appropriate explanation, specification or addition.

Through this Collection, Mandzukov gets his deserved place in the Macedonian society through the full disclosure of his rich thought in this publication.
